Our Story
In 2018 Stephen felt God calling him to serve people in the community. What or how this was to look he was not sure. He just felt God nudging, more like pushing him to serve and share Christ’s love with others.
Being a huge hunter and outdoors man it was natural to think the outdoors may be the avenue God would want Stephen to pursue as a ministry of sharing Christ with others. With much prayer and encouragement Stephen along with his wife Jennifer and children embarked on the journey of following Christ’s call by sharing the gospel through outdoor activities.

Be Bear Aware (a couple hour seminar on how to identify different bears, properly store food in bear country, and other safety tips)
The Way Outside started with the idea of sharing the passions and interests of hunting and being outside with others. Little did Stephen know God had another plan, one which was nothing like the plan he thought they were being asked by God to carry out. Through the frustrations of little interest in the events and not seeing much come of each event there was about a year spent of just prayer and seeking God's will and direction for The Way Outside.
God's Calling....through a few different events, interactions, finding out Stephen really likes to fell trees, cut and split wood and learning of people in the community who could not afford firewood God's plan for The Way Outside became very evident. So on December 13th, 2020 Stephen delivered the first load of firewood to a family in need.
